The women's basketball team picked up a pair of wins in Seattle, and took a little time to enjoy some sights before returning to Northwest Ohio. On Sunday (Nov. 28), we handed a camera to senior Jen Uhl and asked her to film something entertaining. Mission accomplished. Jen and her teammates, while visiting the Space Needle, played a word-association game. Round one with redshirt sophomore Danielle Havel did not go so well ...



... but, round two could be considered nothing but a tremendous success. Freshmen Noelle Yoder and Jill Stein and junior Jessica Slagle join Uhl and Havel for the fun ...

Women's Soccer Falls for Niagara

Hello, this is Mike Cihon (despite what the 'posted by' information might say).  The BGSU women's soccer team is in Western New York this weekend, taking on Niagara University on Friday evening (Sept. 3) and St. Bonaventure (Sept. 5).  On Thursday, as the bus rolled along to New York, senior co-captain Katie Stephenson filmed a few videos of her teammates in the back of the bus.  Here is one of those videos, as Canada became visible across the river.  Jenny Fowler and Alexa Arsenault co-star in this video production.



If all goes well, perhaps there will be a few more videos across BGSUFalcons.com's many platforms in the next few days.

Women's Soccer holds 'Midnight Madness'

The BGSU women's soccer team held a 'Midnight Madness' event during the preseason. The Falcons took to the Doyt Perry Stadium turf one evening in mid-August and split up into two groups: Team Camo and Team Black Attack. The extravaganza culminated with a relay race done in "Minute to Win It" fashion. There were a number of stations set up on the Perry Stadium turf, and one or two team members were assigned to each station. The stations had to be completed in order, with the player(s) required to complete a station before the next station could begin. Team Camo wound up winning the event, as they captured the majority of the contests, but as this video shows, both teams gave their all, and got a lot of enjoyment out of the relay race...

Carly Wells' Mission Trip to Peru

We have a really neat feature for the blog today. Senior Carly Wells, a member of the BGSU track and field team and a four-year letter-winner for the cross country team spent 10 days in Peru on a mission trip sponsored by her local church right here in Bowling Green.

Her husband, Brad Wells (a former CC runner here at BGSU, and brother of current head coach Cami Wells), joined Carly on this trip and the two of them video blogged about their journey.

Carly and Brad talk about their trip to Peru, show some of the local towns and also spend a lot of time playing with children. I hope everyone enjoys these videos.
